Hi! Allow me to introduce the protagonist of this page: Anirudh Venkatesh.

I'm a musician, educator and professional nerd who loves to sing, play instruments and compose music. I especially love collaborating with others and having a shared musical experience.

After completing a dual-degree from BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad, and working at Flipkart, I left the salaried life for the pursuit of music and self-knowledge. This decision led to intense learning, travel, friendships and even a 3-year stint at a gurukul. The learning still continues, even in the beautiful weather of Bengaluru, which has always been home.

I'm as passionate about teaching as I am about learning, which is why I make it a point to share what I know - through one-on-one coaching sessions or group workshops - about voice, guitar, flute, cello, rhythm and composition.

In addition to personal coaching, I condense practical musical knowledge into interactive music explorations, as well as my weekly music publication Sound Insight.

All that I know and practice is thanks to all the incredible people who have delved deep into the forest of music and shared it with the rest of us. I am deeply indebted to all of them, especially the absolutely wonderful human being from whom I learn Khayaal music - my teacher: Shri Omkarnath Havaldar.

My appoach to both musicianship and teaching is heavily reliant on what I call music as language, inspired by the ethos of Indian classical musicians, and other visionaries such as Victor Wooten and Leonard Bernstein.

Above all else, my goal is to help you connect with the music that lies within you and be able to freely express it.
